By staying at the forefront of industry-changing technologies, Shenandoah ensures every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, delivering long-term value and peace of mind to our clients.Position OverviewThe Mobile Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic provides both in-house and field-based maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services for Shenandoah Construction's heavy equipment and vehicles. This role is based out of our Dallas, TX location and includes approximately 50% mobile work. The mechanic will primarily work on-site in Dallas, with a company-provided service truck for travel to job sites as needed. This position requires independent troubleshooting and strict adherence to safety and DOT compliance standards.Sign-On Bonus: This position includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus, payable after successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment.What You'll DoProvide day-to-day repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics on heavy construction vehicles and equipment at the Dallas facility and at project sites as needed.Utilize a company-provided service truck for mobile service throughout the Dallas area.Service equipment used in trenchless construction, pipeline rehabilitation, and other specialty civil projects.Maintain accurate service records and document repairs and parts usage.Ensure all work complies with safety and DOT compliance standards, company policies, and construction site requirements.Communicate repair status, safety concerns, and recommendations to supervisors and project managers.Work on a variety of equipment, with emphasis on Vactor trucks, CCTV trucks, light duty trucks, generators, and light-duty trailers.Utilize strong diagnostics and electrical skills for complex troubleshooting and repairs.Other duties as required.Required Qualifications5+ years of diesel mechanic experience with heavy construction vehicles/equipment.Strong diagnostics and electrical skills.General knowledge of light duty trucks.Must possess own tools.Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems independently.Knowledge of safety and DOT compliance requirements for construction sites.Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally in the Dallas area.Other duties as requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience with mobile diesel repair.OSHA 10 or 30 certification Familiarity with fleet maintenance software.Work ScheduleMonday - Friday, with Saturdays as needed.Primarily based at the Dallas, TX facility, with mobile work as required.Flexible schedule to accommodate project needs.Perks of the JobWeekly Pay401(k) + Company MatchComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCompany-paid life insurancePaid Time Off (PTO) Opportunities for career advancement and professional growth$1,500 sign-on bonus paid after successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment, subject to eligibility and good standing.Shenandoah is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
