Job Summary: Mobile Market Coordinator- Daytona Beach (Hybrid)The Mobile Market Coordinator for the Mobile Farmer's Market serves as the onsite program lead at all Mobile Farmers Market sites and assists approved neighbors with selecting fresh produce available and providing nutritional information. The coordinator will maintain confidential records for program participants, manage participant enrollment, coordinate referrals and provide nutrition education resources. In this role, they will schedule Mobile Farmers Market and stop's and maintain inventory and recordkeeping for the program including all produce orders and invoices. The coordinator will also drive the Mobile Market truck (Ford box truck with 13.5 ft. insulated box) to sites, set up produce displays and signage at each stop, and support all program operations of the mobile food market.About Second HarvestSecond Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a member of Feeding America - the largest charitable domestichunger-relief organization in the United States. Since then, Second Harvest has developed a spectrum of care focused on policies, systems, and environments supporting neighbors experiencing diet-related chronic illness. Health and Hunger provide nutrition education in the community, increase neighbor access to nutrient dense foods through a nutritious pantry network, evaluates and ranks the food available to partner pantries and provides education and technical support for food insecurity screening with health care partners.Work ScheduleThis is a part-time, hybrid position scheduled for 20 hours per week, generally between 7:00 am and 4:00 pmOn designated produce receiving days, the schedule may shift to an earlier start time of 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, based on operational needsThe role requires working three (3) days per week at Mobile Farmers Market sites and one (1) administrative day to support truck care and patient enrollment for the Mobile Farmers Market ProgramFlexibility is desired, as schedules may adjust to ensure program coverage. 3:30 pm (30-minute lunch) 12.5 hours On designated produce receiving days: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions• Schedule visits to all healthcare locations and present the Mobile Farmers Market at scheduled times• Complete intake to enroll participants in the Mobile Farmers Market program• Set up the Farmers Market truck bins of produce and display at each location with appropriate signs and nutritional information• Coordinate the ordering of produce and receive incoming produce deliveries• Provide shopping assistance to approved shoppers according to shopper provided medical guidance• Maintain confidentiality of personal information• Serve as a liaison with healthcare location and provide excellent customer service, information, and assistance needed• Collect, organize and prepare required program and grant data for internal reporting and for submission to external partners, as needed• Coordinate with volunteers when available at sites• Manage inventory flow to ensure adequate stock levels by conducting daily and weekly counts, rotating inventory and adjusting stock based on seasonal needs, specials, or sales• Oversee gift cards for program participants• Proactively solve problems and communicate with appropriate team members and departments when client, product, food quality, equipment, or other issues arise• Report on any quality issues that occur at the delivery sites• Monitor quality and temperature checks for all food carried on the truck• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring cleanliness of truck at the end of shift• Drive the delivery truck to various sites in a lawful and safe manner• Scheduling the truck for maintenance (i.e. oil change, tire change etc.) with vendor• Complete driver paperwork, including completion of incident reports for any incidents, milage logs, and daily report log debrief with supervisor when needed• Facilitate the process of new site onboarding• Collaboration effectively with partners to develop clear, meaningful and achievable goals and action plans• Work closely with nutrition educators to integrate nutrition education with public health strategies and initiatives• Develop and carry out partner action plans that promote nutrition education and public health practices, including nutrition nudges, client choice models, and strategies that help partners and neighbors understand how nutrition impacts overall health• Other duties as assignedRequirementsMinimum Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Minimum one year of related experience (retail grocery, food service, produce delivery driver, merchandiser, receiving clerk, or nutritional work that demonstrates customer service and administrative experience)• Minimum six-month experience driving a box truck with 13.5 ft. insulated box• Maintain a valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record• Familiarity with office management systems, scheduling, and filing systems• Proficient in computer and technology skills, including Microsoft Office tools (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), internet navigation, and use of tablets or mobile devices for work-related tasks, and/or other tools relevant to the department• Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay messages clearly and professionally• Ability to professionally handle interactions with clients or colleagues• Ability to identify issues and find solutions quickly and efficiently• Strong attention to detail• Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients.• Ability to manage calendars, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments efficientlyDesired but not required experience• Minimum of one year in public health programming, or training and technical assistance related to health or nutrition programming• Bilingual (English/Spanish or Haitian Creole)• Experience working in warehouses or similar work environment• Inventory management• Experience working with HIPAA Compliance• ServSafe Food Handler's certification or willingness to obtain one within 60 days of hirePhysical requirements/environment:• Ability to drive a Ford Box truck with a 13.5-foot insulated box• Ability to drive safely for up to one hour to and from distribution sites• Ability to stand for long periods of time• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions of heat, cold, sun and rain• Ability to lift 25+ pounds (additional amounts with assistance)• Ability to bend and reachTravel RequirementsPosition is in Volusia County, but employee will need to travel occasionally to the Orlando Facility for mandatory meetings, trainings and other purposes
