Instructor, Community Recreation (Metro): Module 5Department: Athletics, Wellness & RecreationLocation: Metropolitan Campus Reports To: Community Recreation Coord Recruitment Type: External/Internal Requisition ID: req6562 Employment Type: Part-Time Faculty Union Position: Non-Union Work Schedule: Hours depend on program needs; days, evenings, and weekends may be required, flexibility is necessary.Job Description: SUMMARYModule 5: Personal Training Develops and delivers customized fitness programs forclients in both in-person and virtual environments, with a focus on strength,endurance, flexibility, and holistic wellness. Conducts comprehensiveassessments, monitors progress and provides ongoing motivation and education onproper technique and sustainable lifestyle habits. Must hold current certifications in one of the following: NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) ACE (American Council on Exercise) NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association), or ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association) NCSFACSMISSAAFPANPTICPTESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvides instruction to students and community members.Develops and presents the department with a curriculum that provides students with a full experience and is structured to accommodate all fitness levels.Sets up in preparation for and cleans up after each class. Performs other duties as assigned.
