Classified Staff/C N MaintenanceDate Posted: 10/29/2025Location: District Office - Child NutritionDate Available: 11/03/2025 Job title:Child Nutrition MaintenanceReports to:Child Nutrition Maintenance Supervisor, Director of Child NutritionReceives guidance from:Director, District Administration and Support Staff, Assistant SuperintendentOvertime status: Compliant with position, salary and FLSA regulations Job purpose: In keeping a tradition of excellence, the purpose of the Child Nutrition Maintenance Technician is to maintain all school cafeteria equipment to be in a condition of operating excellence so that full use of the cafeteria and kitchen may be utilized at all times. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties and responsibilities: Maintain F5 equipment through preventative maintenance, repairs, electrical, refrigeration and general repairs Maintain facilities through carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and general repair projects Keep repair sites clean and safe Care for tools and equipment by proper use and by practicing preventative maintenance procedures Inform the Director of Child Nutrition of needed supplies and equipment Collect and transport needed supplies and equipment to repair sites Assist the Director of Child Nutrition with cost estimates on minor repairs Promptly assist with emergency repairs Responsible for driving and upkeep of department van and pickup Responsible for yearly cleaning of cafeteria vent-a-hoods Maintain and upkeep of gas appliances Knowledge of 480, 240, and 208 circuitry Lead and attend staff meetings/trainings as applicable; serve on staff committees Assume responsibility for own professional growth and development, for keeping current with literature, new research findings, for attending appropriate professional meetings and conferences, and to maintain any credits and/or continued education for maintenance of licensure/qualifications required for the position Maintain and accept responsibility for any district owned fixed asset item assigned to employee and ensure appropriate use by following district policies for acceptable use Undergo periodic evaluations according to state and board policy procedures Maintain confidentiality Regular, dependable, in person, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position Perform such other and not specifically enumerated duties as may be requested by the Board of Education, superintendent, administrator, director or established by district policy Read, understand, and abide by Employee Conduct Policy, GAB, all other district, state and federal policies, and procedures and protocols as established by RCSD and the Mississippi Educator Code of Conduct?
