If you're ready to elevate your career and empower the nurses of tomorrow with knowledge, skill, and heart, we encourage you to join this mission-driven, student-centered team.Job specificationCandidate requirementsJob specification Instructional Duties • Deliver effective instruction and facilitate student learning in clinical, lab, and simulation settings. • Supervise and evaluate students to ensure achievement of course competencies. • Participate in debriefings, pre/post-conferences, and provide constructive performance feedback. • Prepare and administer student evaluations and contribute to course grading. • Ensure clinical environments are clean, safe, and conducive to learning. • Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records in compliance with FERPA regulations. Professional Development and Collaboration • Attend faculty meetings, new faculty orientation, and participate in faculty mentoring initiatives. • Maintain licensure and keep current with clinical best practices and instructional methods. • Participate in strategic planning, program improvement, and academic committees. • Assist with orientation and training of new instructors. • Plan and implement instructional activities that align with adult learning principles. Administrative Duties • Submit required reports, evaluations, and documentation timely. • Collaborate with other faculty members to prepare, grade, and evaluate examinations. • Conduct student advising, provide access through scheduled office hours, and maintain regular communication. • Ensure all clinical placements meet health and safety requirements and coordinate clinical schedules. • Monitor student progress, complete performance records, and conduct follow-up on absences or concerns. Candidate requirements Required: • Registered Nurse with an active, unencumbered California RN license. • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required; or BSN with teaching experience and currently enrolled in an MSN program. • Meets faculty requirements set by the California Board of Registered Nursing. • Strong communication, mentorship, and critical-thinking skills. • Demonstrated current clinical competence in nursing practice. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Preferred: • One (1) year of experience teaching adult learners. • Background in educational methodologies, simulation techniques, or current clinical practices. • Experience utilizing online learning tools and electronic educational platforms.
