Lab Supervisor, Machining and CNC TechnologyDepartment: Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Training AcademyLocation: Manufacturing Technology Center Reports To: Director, Advanced Manufacturing Recruitment Type: External/Internal Requisition ID: req5787 Employment Type: Full-Time Support Staff Union Position: Non-Union Work Schedule: M-F, 8am - 4:30pmNumber of Openings: 1 Job Description: SUMMARYInstalls, maintains, orders, and decommissions PMT equipment,tooling, and raw materials (as necessary). Supports PMT course & lab experiences by ensuring that all relatedequipment & course materials are; functional, safe, well-maintained, anddistributed (as necessary). ProvidesMachining Programming/Lab Tours. Promptly escalates unresolvable issues/concerns to the Director of PMT(as required).ESSENTIALFUNCTIONSContinuously monitors PMT equipment performance and conducts preventative maintenance and repairs as neededRepairs and maintains PMT machines & equipment found in the; Machining Lab, Inspection Room, and Tool Crib areas to ensure that scheduled PMT Related Courses/Labs can run as requiredServes as a technical subject matter expert (machining), and supports machining & metrology related programming conducted in PMT related lab area(s). However, there will be walking; standing; bending; stooping; climbing stairs and ladders; and carrying of various items and equipment;Work is partially performed in an environment exposing employees to oscillating movements of extremities or whole bodyWork is partially performed in an environment exposing employees to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, or exposure to chemicalsWork is partially performed in an environment where there is air or skin exposure to oils or other cutting fluidsWork may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksiteTarget Starting Salary Range: $46,000 to $51,000 The final offer for the successful candidate is targeted to fall within this range, but will be based upon an assessment of internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred job requirement(s).
