You will work with a great team of people, in a fun and collaborative environment, with room for advancement.SUMMARYThe Deburring Finisher is responsible for removing sharp edges and preparing uniform finishes on machined parts with sanders, grinders, and specified hand tools. He/she will ensure the proper deburring techniques are followed and acceptable levels of quality and productivity are met within established parameters while working in a safe and effective manner.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs deburring operations on a large variety of parts at times with high levels of complexity, ensuring the operation is performed within established parameters, minimal scrap, and acceptable levels of outputPlan deburring technique using proper tools, and produces parts within established finish specifications, specifications at acceptable levels of production, which includes the reading and interpretation of process drawing, routings, and travelersUse a full range of deburring equipment and hand tools in support of daily output on specific materials ensuring that 100% of parts produced meet or exceed expectationsTrace any problem source(s) and ensuring proper corrective action(s) are taken to resolve detected problemsReads and interprets a variety finish specifications and engineering drawingsEnsures that proper housekeeping is maintained including sweeping and clean up in and round her/his area of responsibilityPerforms continuous improvement (lean) activities as neededResponsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment including identification of unsafe conditionsComplete all job related documentation and shop floor data collection accuratelyAdhere to all aspects of the Quality Management SystemMust be a team player as measured by his/her peersPerforms other duties and assignments as neededRequirementsREQUIREDMust be over 18 years of age and authorized to work in US.Must be able to read, write, and understand technical documentation, computer literate, read process drawing (blueprints)Physically able to perform routine and heavy tasks with full range of motionDESIRED1-3 years of grinding experience in a precision manufacturing environment preferredSolid understanding and ability to use deburring and finishing tools and precision measuring tools is a plus but not requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Sitting/Standing/WalkingApproximately 5% is spent seated at a desk, working on the telephone or at a computer terminalApproximately 95% is spent bending, squatting, standing, or moving about the work areaFrequently lifts, carries, or moves objects weighing up to 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.Must have ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feelMust have ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouchMust have ability to sit or stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of timeMust show proficiency in the set-up and operation of all necessary equipmentSpeaking/HearingAbility to speak read and write English fluentlyClear diction, correct grammar and acute haring are necessary for effective communication with clients, vendors, management, and other employeesVisionCorrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively use computer screens, read reports and responding to correspondence and emailsWorking conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
