Assistant Credit Manager

We're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive problem solver to become an Assistant Credit Manager on the Finance Shared Services team.In this role, you'll help ensure timely payments, reduce credit risk, and build strong relationships with customers around the globe. You'll collaborate across teams, learn the full order-to-cash process, and have opportunities to grow and lead as you shape your career. This role empowers you to drive change, coach others, and shape the future of our credit operations.ResponsibilitiesMonitor accounts receivable aging and take proactive action on overdue accounts or disputes to ensure timely collection, including daily review of orders on credit hold.Support and help develop the capabilities of our Credit & Collections outsourcing partner to ensure strong performance and collaboration.Assist in onboarding new customers by evaluating customer creditworthiness through financial analysis and credit reports for both domestic and international customers.Support the Credit Manager in setting and reviewing credit limits for new and existing accounts across multiple regions.Prepare and maintain accurate credit files and documentation in compliance with international credit laws and company policies.Collaborate with sales, supply chain, and finance teams to balance credit risk with business growth objectives.Actively partner with cross-functional teams while learning and supporting the order-to-cash process.Assist in developing and implementing credit policies and procedures for multi-country markets.Prepare AR/Credit monthly metric reporting with the ability to analyze and provide insights for leadership.Provide backup support for the Credit Manager and AR cash posting activities, ensuring accurate payment application while contributing to strategic credit initiatives.EducationBachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferredOR Associate's degree combined with a minimum of 8 years progressive relevant experienceCredit-related Certifications (Collections, Credit, and International) a plusExperienceMinimum 5 years in credit, collections, or accounts receivable, requiredExposure to international/global AR processes, strongly preferredStrong ERP systems experience required (SAP preferred)Proven success in leading and developing a team, requiredExperience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry preferredFamiliarity with trade promotion management systems and their integration with AR is a plusKnowledge of international credit laws and trade compliance is a plusSkillsAbility to build networks and collaborate outside the organization within shared groupsStrong problem-solving ability with a focus on continuous improvementAssertive, with excellent negotiation skills and ability to perform under pressureExceptional communication and interpersonal skills-able to engage customers and stakeholders professionallyDetail-oriented to ensure accuracy and compliance in credit reports, contracts, and policiesDecisive decision-making skills for credit approvals, setting limits, and negotiating termsLeadership mindset with team development skills; acts as a change agent with a global perspective and customer focusProficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office productsAmbition to grow and lead within the organizationOther RequirementsTravel: Not a ton, less than 10% of your time Benefits and CompensationMembers have potential for a monthly bonus and 401k with a company match.
