Encompasses a broad range of functions from basic bookkeeping to budget preparation, financial analysis, forecasting, tracking and reporting systems. The CRA Finance & Budget Manager works under the general direction of the CRA Executive Director or Designee and exercises considerable independent judgment in the completion of assignments. Position requires an advanced understanding and wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in accounting and budgeting.To view full job description, please click on the job title:CRA Finance & Budget Manager MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration or related field; supplemented by five or more years' of financial, governmental accounting and budget experience, including at least one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Munis experience and knowledge in governmental fund accounting and budgeting is preferred. Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment. In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully. As the CRA approaches its anticipated sunset in FY27, the City intends for this position to transition to the Finance Department, supporting continuity and succession planning aligned with the retirement of key personnel. Following this transition, the position title is anticipated to be updated, consistent with the role's responsibilities and organizational structure at that time.
