This person should be able to perform in a self-directed manner in all facets of the design process, including preparation of presentations, schematic design, design development, contract documents, model building and rendering, as well as construction administration, while adhering to budgets, timelines, schedules, and other project requirements.ResponsibilitiesDevelop concepts based on given criteria; use feedback to modify designsWork collaboratively with other team members as to best approachIncrease required technical and functional skills in related technologies, which may include Revit, Bluebeam, Enscape, Rhino, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and InDesign), and other 3D modeling, rendering, and legacy programsDevelop finish palettes and presentationsSelect FF&E and prepare FF&E specificationsLead small teams on a task-by-task basisParticipate in professional development activities and initiatives, both inside and outside the firmBuild and maintain a network of connections and resources within the industry; attend events central to the firm's strengths and goalsAny other duties as assignedQualificationsA degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited school5+ years of experience in a professional architecture or interior design environment, experience in the design of education environments is preferredProficiency in Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, InDesign, Enscape, and other 3D modeling, rendering, and presentation programs; experience in Revit is requiredKnowledge of materials, project design, and preparation of construction documentationExperience in all conventional aspects of interior designExperience in all project phasesEffective verbal and written communication skillsAble to work in a collaborative, professional mannerAble to problem solve with attention to detail and a desire to learnAble to work independently with little supervisionRequired: NCIDQ-certified interior designer or pursuing and on track for future certificationIf interested, qualified candidates should submit a resume and work samples or portfolio (no larger than 6 MB) through our careers website.TVS offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, as well as 401(k) Plan and ESOP program.
