Join the Milwaukee Electronics engineering team and gain hands-on experience supporting real-world product development. As an Engineering Intern, you'll collaborate closely with our engineers to assist with both hardware and software testing, gaining valuable exposure to a variety of tools, technologies, and test processes.Ongoing Academic Year Commitment RequiredThis is not a summer-only internship. Candidates must remain enrolled in school and be available to work approximately 15 hours per week during the academic year.Work hours must be scheduled within standard business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm). Availability limited to evenings or weekends will not satisfy the requirements of this position.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAdditional duties may be assigned as needed.Assist engineers in developing new products and test fixturesWrite and maintain test procedures and documentationCreate scripts and programs to automate testing processesTroubleshoot test fixtures and analyze product failuresPerform light assembly, soldering, and wiring tasksBuild product and application-level understanding through direct testingQUALIFICATIONSCurrently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.Sophomore or Junior standing preferredMust be available to work onsite at least 15 hours per week during the academic year, up to 40 hours per week during the summer break.Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionEagerness to learn, take initiative, and follow directionTECHNICAL COMPETENCIESBasic understanding of electronics theory and principlesFamiliarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skillsWORK ENVIRONMENTThis role is primarily performed in a Research and Development (R&D) lab environment with occasional office meetings. The position may involve working around standard lab equipment, motors, conveyors, and small tools.
