Job Type Full-timeDescriptionJob SummaryThe Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role works closely with the finance team to maintain the general ledger, assist with month-end close, and support audits.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries to the general ledgerPerform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end close processesMaintain accurate financial records and supporting documentationPrepare schedules and reports for internal management and external auditorsAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as neededEnsure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policiesIdentify and help implement process improvementsRespond to accounting-related inquiries from internal departmentsPrepare and file state/local taxesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting1-3 years of accounting experience (public or industry)Solid understanding of GAAPProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)Experience with Accounting/ERP software (e.g. Deacom)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to meet deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesPreferred QualificationsManufacturing experienceExperience with month-end closeFamiliarity with financial reporting and auditsKey CompetenciesAnalytical and problem-solving skillsClear written and verbal communicationTeam-oriented with the ability to work independentlyHigh level of integrity and professionalism
