Uniquely positioned in our ability to produce large central systems for an entire plant down to individual filters for a single cutting machine on the floor, our proprietary filtration and cooling technologies come second to none.The Welder (Pipe Welder) will fabricate a wide variety of small to large sheet metal and structural steel products including guards, chutes, covers, conveyors, tanks, frames, and flumes constructed of material ranging from 14 gauge to ¼" carbon steel plate and stainless steel.Role and ResponsibilitiesWhile operating a MIG welding machine, regulate current and voltage for proper fusion of metals, pressures, and flow of gas or other materialsSelect materials and gauge of metalWork from engineering drawings, layouts, sketches, samples, prototypes, or verbal instructions concerning general requirementsUse various hand power tools and hand tools to finish productGrind out slag, burrs, and sharp edges using portable grinder or sanderInspect and mark part number on finished partsOperate forklift or overhead crane to move parts and materialsFollow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly conditionRecord daily attendance and production information on timekeeping systemQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentBetween 2 and 4 years of trade school, vocational education, work experience, or apprenticeship training in MIG welding and sheet metal fabricationAbility to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawing, routings, and other written instructionKnowledge of metal fabrication methods, processes, and equipmentAn understanding of material characteristics as related to the fabrication processes of cutting, bending, rolling, and weldingWorking knowledge of mathematics for metal fabrication, equipment setup, and use including fractions and decimal equivalentFrequently push, pull, lift up to 50 lbsFork Lift Operator CertificationAble to work Second Shift from 3:15pm to 11:45pm CSTEqual Opportunity Statement: Komline is an EEO Employer- M/F/Vets/DisabledThis position has openings on 1st shift, which is 5:00am - 1:30pm CST, or 2nd shift welding openings, which is 3:15pm - 11:45pm CST (includes 30 minute break)
