This role includes working with security systems, access control, fire alarm systems, data/communication networks, and audiovisual equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including security and surveillance, access control, fire alarms, structured cabling, and AV systemsTroubleshoot wiring, equipment malfunctions, connectivity issues, and system performance problemsPerform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliabilityUpgrade and modify existing systems to meet project requirements and evolving technologyCommunicate with clients to understand system needs, provide recommendations, and resolve concerns professionallyEnsure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulationsFollow all safety policies and procedures while working on job sitesUse testing and diagnostic equipment to verify system functionality and performanceRequired Skills & QualificationsWorking knowledge of low voltage systems including security, fire alarm, audio/video, and data cablingStrong troubleshooting and problem solving abilitiesGood communication and customer service skillsHigh attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksExperiencePrevious experience in low voltage or electrical systems requiredEqual Opportunity Employer:Bertke Electric Co. is an equal opportunity employer.
