Director of Environmental Services Overview: Seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented person to lead maintenance, housekeeping, and security operations within our senior living community. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment that enhances quality of life for residents, families, and team members. What You’ll Do: · Provide supervision, daily oversight, and work hands-on alongside the maintenance team. Provide leadership support to management for housekeeping and security. · Ensure the community meets all applicable state, federal, and local regulations, including life safety and infection prevention standards · Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to support resident safety and comfort. · Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control across the community · Prepare for and support regulatory surveys, inspections, and audits · Manage departmental budgets, staffing levels, and supply inventories · Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate department supervisors and team members · Coordinate capital improvements, renovations, and vendor services · Respond to emergencies and after-hours needs as required The Skills You’ll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Environmental Services, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred plus 5+ years of leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environments or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of life safety codes, infection control, and regulatory compliance Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams with a resident-centered approach Proven ability to communicate with compassion. Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
