Minimum:Maximum:Location:Las Vegas, NevadaJob Type:Full timeJob Title:Install JourneymanJob Description:GENERAL PURPOSE:Under the general supervision of the Supervisor or Lead, installs new signs and services existing signs efficiently and within budget.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Reviews blueprints, identifies and prepares necessary materials and supplies for sign installationDetermine layout and installation procedures and measure and mark guidelines to be used for installationsDrives trucks to transport sign materials to installation sites and load and unload trucks with supplies and equipmentAssemble and install products utilizing hand and power tools, operating heavy equipmentMay require scaffolding erection and other work platformsPerforms maintenance and repair to existing signsCompletes paperwork for installations and service workFollows all safety guidelines and regulationsObtains completed work sign-off from customersMARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Cleans and maintains equipmentPerforms other functions as necessary or as assignedNATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:Interacts with customersInteracts with installation helpers and apprenticesInteracts with engineers, production staff, account executives and other departmentsTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.A High School Diploma or GED and six or more years of relevant experience involving demonstrated abilities in construction including welding, operation of heavy equipment, crane and forklift, power tools, electrical experience, and reading blueprints and work orders; or any combination of training, education and experience which provides the following knowledge, abilities, and skills.Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities to meet critical deadlines, as well as working independentlyAbility to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writingAbility to operate computer, telephone, and other office equipmentKnowledge of electrical installation (NEC codes, etc.)Knowledge of LED lighting and signaling systemsExcellent basic math skillsStrong work ethic with an enthusiastic, positive attitude, and the highest level of integrityExcellent communication skillsMaintain regular and timely attendanceValid Class B CDL LicensePHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
