Our committed and well-trained workforce professionals deliver comprehensive workforce solutions at integrated career centers, sector-focused centers and community, and partner sites.Job DescriptionPlans, organizes and directs comprehensive recreation programs within the Job Corps ProgramDevelops and promotes recreational programs which meet the needs of all trainees - Schedules of activities in a safe, efficient and cost-effective mannerExtends partnerships to other recreational providers in the communityOversees the staffing patterns and development of all staff within departmentSubmits Calendar of Events for review on a monthly basis. Due to the Director of Social Development by the 15th of each monthMeets with new students during first week of Stay and monitors trainee participation in various activities based on spending limitsEnsures activity costs and trainee participation logs are reconciled with Accounting Department - Maintains stock of trainee Uniforms and various other athletic garmentsSchedules a variety of recreational programs which encourages maximum trainee participation leading to positive social behaviorsOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Recreation, Physical Education or related field; or four to six years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceCardiopulmonary Resuscitation/First Aid CertificationsMust be able to perform supervisory functions of planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of recreation programs and staffAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Equus Workforce Solutions is a leading provider of workforce development services in North America.
