As training, experience, and confidence are gained, the incumbent progresses to "Line C" repairs, generally involving light maintenance, such as tire replacement, PA state inspections, chassis work, etc. This position also completes various Ford training and certification programs, such as those required for warranty work. Overall, this involves:Performing work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Ford standardsDiagnosing and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specificationProviding labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairsExplaining mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customersContinuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.Inspecting and testing new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.As an hourly employee, this position may be called upon at times to assist with upkeep of the facility- sweeping floors, disposing of trash and scrap metal, etc. Bob Ruth Ford is a high volume, fast growing dealership that's dedicated to providing a fantastic culture to its employees.
