Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $23.50 and $32.00. The Parts Counter Representative is responsible for providing customer service and sales assistance in accordance with company policy. Acts as the primary interface with retail and wholesale customers as well as service department employees to sell the required parts accessories.Retrieves (pulls) purchased parts from inventory or if the requested parts are not in inventory determines availability, prepare parts requisition, and submit order as required.Keeps accurate records of special order partsAnswers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information to customersTakes phone orders, following all procedures and completing all required documentationAssists outside sales representatives with their ordersProcesses orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up at counterReceives and ships parts in accordance with company policiesVerifies "will call" and "back-order" files weekly and return to vendors, or re-stocks items not requiredAssists service drive employees in selecting parts needed for repairs in processOrders parts not in stock for required repairs in accordance with company policiesFollows up on special ordered items and promptly notifies service drive employees when receivedObtains credit authorization as required and in accordance with company policiesEnsures all cash, credit, charge, purchase order, invoice and tax exempt sales are processes in accordance with company policiesIssues credit for parts returned, in accordance with company policies.Replenishes assigned inventory dailyMaintains inventory on shelves and in bins by reporting items needing to be reordered, identifying any discrepancies in stock levels, and returning unsold items to stockAdvises Parts Manager of inventory discrepancies and if areas of the department are not in good conditionAssists in maintaining a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and the "self-service" retail customerProvides recommendation on pricing parameters in each category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyaltyQualifications:Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.2-5 years of experience in an automotive parts dept.2-5 years of sales experience.Professional personal appearance.Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time.All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe mannerAll applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug test and physical.About UsThe Tuttle-Click Automotive Group has been serving the Southern California community since 1946.
