Quality Control Technician, Tacoma, WAArclin USA is currently looking for a Quality Control Technician for our Tacoma, WA location Reporting to the Quality Manager / Process Engineer, this role is responsible for supporting a business application area Industrial Surfaces Overlay (ISO) group. The role monitors, tests, and dispositions finished product in the manufacturing area to ensure that it meets Arclin's quality and performance standards. This role also performs laboratory analyses and testing, product development and customer applications projects, testing of new or modified company products and technologies while adhering to Arclin policies and procedures and applicable HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) rules and regulations.Quality Control Technician Job Responsibilities:Performs work in compliance with all Arclin policies and procedures including HSE and regulatory requirements. Achieves personal objectives on time, on budget, within agreed quality and quantity parameters.Attends and/or completes annual training as prescribed by EHS.Monitors, dispositions and sorts finished product to ensure that it meets Arclin's quality and performance standardsApplies creative thinking to new situations/opportunities while balancing creativity with practicality to achieve efficienciesDemonstrates initiative and contributes ideas for process and quality improvements where possible to save time, money or other resourcesCollaborates on project teams and shares knowledge with peers and other team members to assist in the productive flow of workConduct application testing of raw materials, finished products, and some New Product Development, according to industry standards and utilizing proper statistical tools and established Arclin test proceduresMaintain and operate lab equipment according to Arclin lab policies and procedures. Routinely investigate all lab equipment and arrange for service and repairs as required. Maintain adequate inventory of laboratory supplies.Maintain clean and safe environment in the lab including disposing of waste and safe handling of flammable and toxic chemicals in compliance with all HSE regulationsAssist with the investigations of Customer Quality Complaints and Root Cause AnalysisOther various tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager / Process Engineer.Quality Control Technician Job Requirements:Associates Degree in Chemistry or related field; ORsignificant, related on-the-job experience0-3 years' experience working in manufacturing ORan industrial laboratory environmentMust be able to communicate verbally and to prepare reports with emphasis on technical clarity and accuracy Preferred:Industry experience preferredMicrosoft Windows apps knowledge i.e., Teams, Word, Excel, Adobe, Power BiAble to acquire forklift certification Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
