Job DescriptionSelectek is partnering with a firm in Georgetown, Delaware to hire a Process Engineer on a direct hire basis. Ideal candidates have worked in an Injection Plastic Molding facility for minimum of 3-5 years and can handle supervisory duties. Expected Pay Range: $75,000 - $125,000 base salary Location: Georgetown, DESchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a - 5:00pEssential Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for supervision of tool room, process techs, trainees and material handlers, process engineers and maintenance Be a liaison between manufacturing and engineering Responsible for training of technical resources Use Lean/Six Sigma methodologies for process development and problem solving Responsible for building and maintaining a high performance team Maintain associated metrics for respective area Responsible for optimizing cycle times, reducing scrap, and reducing downtime Participate on teams that require technical expertise Responsible for creating and maintaining associated department procedures Maintain a high level of professionalism Monitor processes and ensure accurate execution f defined processes Responsible for level of quality produced by the department Promote a high level of communication between departments to execute customer orders Promote and participate actively in continuous improvement Develop growth and development plans for personnel Maintain working relationships with other department managers and personnel Assess equipment and personnel requirements for department and make/implement necessary changes Perform other tasks as directed by manager Additional responsibilities as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for supervision of personnel Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment Responsible for accurately assessing labor needs and making appropriate schedule adjustments Responsible for maintenance of timecards Responsible for vacation request and approvals for personnel Responsible for maintenance of personnel training records Responsible for discipline of personnel Required: Proficient with injection molding processing Experience with Engineered and high-temp resins Ability to interpret part prints, quality plans, work instructions, and apply the knowledge appropriately Ability to develop and write work procedures and train personnel Proficient in use of Office Software, including work processing and spreadsheets Must possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization Working knowledge of CAD/Solid works and Mold flow Demonstrated experience in formalized problem solving Ability to program robots and exchange end-of-arm tooling Working knowledge of ISO 900-2008 and TS-16949-2009 Preferred: Lean/Six Sigma training/certification preferred Certificate of supervisory training preferred Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training preferred In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.To be considered for this position, apply via the link, or if email is more convenient, send an up-to-date resume to jfairbanks@ and reference this job posting.
