Job Posting Title CNC Set Up Technician Job Description Summary A CNC Setup Technician is responsible for CNC machine troubleshooting, updating tool paths and completing set ups for machines on 3rd Shift. Job Description: * Knowledge to teach robot and gantry pickup points * Knowledge of Nachi robot controls * Recognize tool paths by interpreting the program (G and M codes) * Machine set-ups and changeovers * Ability to train associates on machining standards * Troubleshoot daily production problems through root cause analysis techniques as they occur * Participate in continuous improvement processes * Maintains safety and good housekeeping standards Required Skills and Education * 1 to 3 years of experience in high volume precision machining environment * General understanding of manufacturing processes and detailed knowledge of lathe tooling/programming * High school diploma or equivalent experience required * Knowledge of Hard Turning, Green Turning, Milling, Broaching and Part Finishing machining processes About AAM: As a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, AAM designs, engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.
