With office flexibility and a work-life balance, we accommodate individual preferences, believing that freedom, respect, and creativity lead to happiness and prosperityJob Summary: We are seeking a full time Senior LEED Certification Reviewer to provide technical expertise for projects pursuing LEED BD+C, ID+C, and O+M rating systems; and SITES v2.0 certification. We are looking for an energetic, fast learner who is detail oriented to join our growing company based in Atlanta, Georgia.Responsibilities:Perform in-depth technical review and analyses of building design, construction, and operations for compliance with LEED or SITES rating systems on time with high quality to gain rating system proficiency.Educate and directly engage the marketplace by effectively communicating through written, verbal, and in-person meetings with project teams and ownersProvide technical customer service support to project teamsContribute to the continued development and increased technical knowledge of fellow LEED Certification Reviewers through collaborative teamworkExcel in the understanding of the LEED rating system including forms, calculations, and documentation requirements, as well as how to apply LEED criteria to the review of documentation for verification that the project meets the rating system requirementsAssist in the training and review of work performed by Entry-Level LEED ReviewersOpportunity to learn more about the WELL, SITES, and Living Building Challenge rating systems, including forms, calculations, documentation requirements, and how to apply the criteria to the review of documentation for verificationOpportunity to graduate into a Team Leader or Manager role within the Certifications DepartmentEssential Functions After Initial Training Period:Contribute to a project's pursuit of a sustainability-related certification from the Consulting team by reviewing work as the quality control (QC) reviewer prior to the project's submittal to GBCI for formal reviewContinue to perform in-depth technical review and analyses of building design, construction, and operations for compliance with LEED rating systems on time with high quality without oversightPerform quality assurance (QA) review of work done by other ReviewersProvide expert-level guidance for Consulting projects seeking LEED or SITES certificationParticipate in Business Development activities such as networking, speaking engagements, and written content for marketing purposesParticipate in resource development to further the knowledge and increase efficiency and proficiency in conducting reviews for the departmentMetrics for Success:Complete initial on-boarding training to graduate to official Senior Reviewer status within six monthsMeet individual review production metrics (quality, efficiency, and timeliness)Achieve customer service satisfaction consistent with department goalsDemonstrate professional growth by advancing foundational and leadership competenciesQualifications and Experience:Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in a field of study related to one or more of the following specialties:5+ years of experience with the LEED rating system preferredLEED AP with specialty requiredPlanning (urban/transportation/environmental planning, urban design)Architecture (architecture, landscape architecture, interior design)Engineering (mechanical, civil, structural)Sustainable Built EnvironmentPublic Policy/AdministrationConstruction Management (or associated discipline)Environmental/Sustainability Science (ecology, biology, environmental management)Ability to read, understand and interpret building floor plans, sections, site plans, construction specifications, mechanical schedules, commissioning reports and operational policies required;Technical understanding of and experience with one or more of the following building operations topics: common construction methods, specifications, fenestration, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, metering design, landscape design, master planning, land use, zoning, urban development, life cycle assessments, net-zero planning, greenhouse gas emissions, global warming potential, and resiliency;Other Required Skills and Qualifications:Passion and commitment to the EGI missionExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including technical writingStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality workAbility to work well both independently and in small groupsDesire to be an integral part of a team effortExcellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented and able to prioritizeWillingness to self-initiateStrong computer skills, with high proficiency in MS Office suite and Adobe AcrobatEncourage and accelerate global adoption of green business practices through various sustainability standards, tools and performance criteriaLocation: Hybrid located in Atlanta, GA preferred. Remote considered. Travel: 0- 5%Compensation & Benefits: The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 USD per year.
