Contract - Combo Welder (MIG & TIG) – 1st Shift (M-F 6am-2:30pm) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Combo Welder proficient in MIG and TIG welding for both large and small parts. This is a first-shift opportunity focused on the fabrication of mechanical parts in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of parts and materials. Fabricate mechanical components to specifications. Use pneumatic or electric hand tools to deburr and surface-prep materials. Grind metal for prep work or deburring following verbal and written instructions. Apply basic hand and power tools safely and effectively. Read tape measures and accurately mark or scribe locations within 1/16 " (0.062 "). Required Qualifications & Skills Minimum 3 years of experience in a fabrication environment performing a variety of welding and related assignments. Qualified in flat (1F and 1G) and horizontal (2F and 2G) welding positions. Basic knowledge of GMAW (MIG) welding, with some formal training and understanding of FCAW processes. Good understanding of basic weld symbols. Solid grasp of basic blueprint reading. Ability to use measuring tools: micrometers, dial calipers, tape measure. Fabrication experience is a plus.
