Technical Writer - FORT WORTH - TX Area - Direct position -1377Our client continues to solve the problems that matter most to the aviation community by engineering, certifying, manufacturing and marketing aircraft structures that enhance the productivity, performance and safety of airplanes. It's our legacy and our future, are in need of a Technical writer for their facility in Fort Worth -TX area.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings is keyReview all systems and technical drawings to create procedural manuals for each component, system, interior configuration etc., which are customized specifically for each aircraftTranslate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical personnelOrganize material and complete writing assignment according to set standardsDevelop and update corporate documentation and forms as tasked by the managerCoordinate with the production team to access the aircraft in order to validate the written procedural steps prior to aircraft close-upCreate simple illustrations to support manualsTake digital photographs for reference and incorporating into projects as requiredQuality check the hard copy and electronic files of the documents to ensure all requirements are met prior to submitting documents to external in-process review and final deliveryMaintain configuration control of files for historical purposesWorking knowledge of aviation regulations and standards (e.g., FAA regulations, ATA specifications).Performs other related duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:BS Degree in Industrial Technologies, graphics, technical arts or Aeronautics preferred with equivalent technical writing work experience3+ years of experience as an aviation technical writer or illustratorWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeWorking knowledge of Adobe Frame Maker and IllustratorPreferred Qualifications:Excellent procedural technical writing skills with thorough knowledge of English grammar and punctuationAbility to assimilate technical concepts quickly and to produce accurate procedural instructionsDemonstrated experience in designing and producing simple illustrations for technical documentationExperience with AMM, CMM, SB and other field related documents.If interested, please send your updated resume in Word doc format at recruiter@ with preferred pay requirements and availability and we will follow up immediately.
