Position SummaryRees Scientific is seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Inside Sales Representative to support the Rees Scientific Customer base from our Headquarters in Trenton, NJ.This role exists to increase orders by removing transactional friction from the field sales team. The Inside Sales Representative will manage proposal coordination, contract renewals, CRM discipline, and customer follow-up to ensure opportunities move efficiently toward closed orders.This role allows Area Sales Representatives to focus on strategic selling, account expansion, and taking share, while ensuring consistent execution, responsiveness, and disciplined follow-up throughout the sales cycle.This position reports directly to the Inside Sales Support Manager and works closely with Area Sales Representatives, Estimating, Engineering, Service, Project Management, Finance, and Customer Support teams.Key ResponsibilitiesField Sales Execution SupportProvide direct day-to-day operational support to the Sales teamHelp advance active sales opportunities toward order by coordinating follow-up, documentation, and internal alignmentMaintain consistent follow-up cadence to ensure opportunities do not stallSupport preparation for customer meetings, site visits, and technical discussionsPerform light qualification efforts for lower-graded leads and escalate as needed to Area Sales RepresentativesContract Renewals & Expansion Support Own and manage the contract renewal process for assigned regionMaintain full visibility of upcoming renewals and ensure proactive outreachCoordinate pricing updates, proposal revisions, and documentation required to secure renewal ordersSupport system expansions and add-on opportunities tied to existing accountsWork with Area Sales Representatives, estimating, and service teams to ensure renewal orders are accurate and completeProposal & Quote CoordinationPrepare and coordinate quotes, proposals, and budgetary pricing using established pricing structuresCoordinate with Engineering, Service, Calibration, and Project Management teams to gather technical and cost inputsEnsure proposals are accurate, complete, and delivered within defined turnaround timelinesTrack proposal status and maintain disciplined follow-up to convert proposals into orderCRM Management & Pipeline DisciplineMaintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity records, contacts, and activities within the CRM systemEnsure all renewals, expansions, and active opportunities are properly logged and forecastedSupport Area Sales Representatives with pipeline tracking and order forecastingHelp generate pipeline and order-related reports for regional sales leadershipCustomer Support & Internal CoordinationServe as a secondary point of contact for existing customers within the regionRoute technical, service, or project inquiries to appropriate internal teamsCoordinate internal resources needed to support customer opportunitiesEnsure clean handoff from sales to project implementation once an order is securedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field preferred1 to 3 years of experience in sales support, inside sales, account coordination, or similar roleStrong organizational and time management skillsHigh attention to detail and process disciplineExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with CRM systems preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting technical or capital equipment salesExperience in life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated environmentsFamiliarity with recurring contract renewals and service agreementsExperience supporting proposal and quote developmentPrimary Objective of This RoleThe Sales Support Representative exists to:Increase regional ordersEnsure proactive renewal coverageImprove opportunity progression speedStrengthen pipeline and order forecasting disciplineEnable Regional Sales Managers to focus on strategic selling and share captureThis is a transactional execution role focused on disciplined sales support and order conversion.
