Process Technician in Concord, NCShift: 3rd shiftPay Rate: $31.00 with a Shift Differential $0.75 per hourFull time, Excellent Pay & BenefitsJob Summary:We are looking for a Process Technician in Concord, NC. The process technician is responsible for keeping automated assembly equipment and molding systems running properly. This person will use a logical, methodical approach to determine root cause of equipment malfunction and make the necessary repairs. If the repairs go beyond their abilities, they will communicate in detail to engineering or maintenance and assist with the repairs. This person will also assist supervisors in execution of the production plan. Use mechanical skills and critical thinking to determine root cause of equipment malfunctions.Use a methodical approach to problem solving.Test electrical components and replace as needed.Perform preventative and predictive maintenance functions.Perform tooling changes as applicable in the departmentPerform material handler as neededDetermine tooling problems and communicate with tool room to resovle issues.Lead set up techs in the department to ensure process efficiency Utilize 5S, continuous improvement and Lean tools daily to improve the department. As necessary partner with maintenance and engineering All other activities as assigned by the Supervisor.Education: High school diploma or GED required. Prefer degree/certificate from college or technical school.Experience: Progressive manufacturing experience Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Very high mechanical aptitudeUnderstanding of PLC controlled equipmentAbility to troubleshoot electro/mechanical assembliesAbility to use a multimeter to check voltage, resistance and continuityAbility to effectively communicate technical issues with engineering and maintenance departmentsASI System and NCR DatabaseAble to lift up to 40 lbs.Able to work overtime when necessaryAble to stand the majority of the workday.Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling,pushing, and pulling.Manual dexterity required for assembly and operating tools and machines.Ability to safely operate moving equipment properly without risk to self, others and equipment.
