This position offers the opportunity to support a variety of environmental and engineering projects, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative setting. As a Technician II, you will assist with field investigations, data collection, and technical reporting to help deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys hands-on work and is committed to quality and safety.What You'll Do:Conduct advanced field and laboratory tests on construction materials, structures, and systemsPerform inspections and assessments of projects to ensure compliance with specifications and standardsCollect, analyze, and interpret data from tests and inspectionsPrepare detailed technical reports and documentation of findingsOperate and maintain advanced field and laboratory equipmentAssist in the development and implementation of project plans and protocolsProvide technical support and guidance to junior staff and team membersParticipate in quality control and quality assurance programsCommunicate findings and recommendations to the Project Manager/SupervisorFollow all safety guidelines and proceduresThis position will require periodic travel for up to a month at a time at remote job sites, for instance in the High Sierras. What You Bring:High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical training preferred 2+ years of experience in environmental, geotechnical, or construction-related fieldwork Familiarity with field sampling techniques, soil and groundwater testing, and use of field instruments Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and lifting equipment as needed Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data collection and documentation Knowledge of health and safety protocols and ability to follow established procedures Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers Flexibility to travel to project sites and adapt to changing schedulesWill require physical, drug screening, Live Scan.
