It operates a close-knit, lab-focused environment where innovation, scientific rigor, and customer engagement drive product development.Job DescriptionIn this role you will report directly into the VP of Engineering and be responsible for:Leading end-to-end technical program execution for chemistry-, plating-, and metallurgical-focused development programsManaging a program team of early-career engineers, setting priorities, assigning work, and driving day-to-day executionFacilitating customer programs from design to testing, analysis, reporting, and final deliveryWorking hands-on in the R&D lab with metal alloys, plating baths, chemical solutions, and characterization methodsTroubleshooting highly technical issues at the materials, grain-structure, and electrochemical levelsCoordinating cross-functional work across Engineering, R&D, Operations, and customer teams to ensure program successPreparing polished updates, technical summaries, and progress reports for customers and senior leadershipOverseeing sample builds, small-batch trials, plating evaluations, and process development activitiesDriving program schedules, risk identification, resource allocation, and milestone achievementSupporting global commercialization efforts, including periodic international travel MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
