Geoquest USA, Inc. (formerly The Reinforced Earth Company (RECo)) is recognized as the inventor and market leader of the MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) retaining wall industry. The company provides the design and supply of materials of proprietary retaining wall systems and earth related technologies to contractors and owners for use in civil engineering. Our company works as a sub-contractor/material supplier on DOT and privately owned projects. We perform all duties associated with our jobs from sales, marketing, civil engineering/design, supply, and construction support.The Project Manager (PM) reports to the Director of Project Management or Operations Manager. The PM's primary responsibility is to ensure that Geoquest USA fulfills its contractual obligations to its (Contractor) Clients, while keeping within the budgetary constraints of each project.Responsibilities include:Reviewing and understanding of the contract terms (including special needs)Developing a thorough understanding of Client's ever-changing delivery needsRequesting and Tracking Shop Drawing submittals and approvalsReviewing of Shop Drawings submittals for constructability, as neededFacilitating approvals of aesthetics and procuring Form Liners, when neededPreparing, negotiating and facilitating execution of External Precaster ContractsMaintaining up to date shipping, casting and project schedules for the SIOP processOrdering of forms and miscellaneous Geoquest USA accessories for External PrecastersAssisting External Precasters with set-up of Geoquest USA Reporting ProceduresCoordinating Fabrication and Jobsite Delivery Schedules with Precast & Steel PlantsOrdering of miscellaneous jobsite accessories for ClientTracking the status of jobsite deliveries and developing workarounds, when neededVisiting Jobsites (at Start-up)Provide Client with Construction & Quality Control ManualAssist Client with understanding of ManualVisiting Jobsites (after Start-up)General visits, as feasible, for updates, photos and relationship developmentInspect field issues that arise and coordinate response from Geoquest USA EngineeringRegular Tracking and managing of variances between Job Costs & BudgetsKeeping Geoquest USA's IT Systems and Job Cost personnel current for each projectAssisting Accounts Receivable Dept. with collection from delinquent ClientsDeveloping / Negotiating Change Orders and corresponding Job Budget updatesCoordinating Change Orders with Geoquest USA Engineering, Precast Plants and Steel PlantForecasting of material needs for fabrication planningForecasting of project revenue for Geoquest USA FinancialsFinalizing Job Budgets for Job "Close-out"Assisting Bidding Team, as needed, in the course of Geoquest USA pursuing new projectsEducation / Skills / Experience:BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferredAbility to read construction drawingsGood Communications SkillsGood Organizational SkillsAbility to work with Excel Spreadsheets and IT systemsGood Problem Solving SkillsWork Environment / Physical Demands:The responsibilities will be carried out in a traditional office environment under traditional office conditions as well as on construction sites and in manufacturing facilities. Travel will be required 50% or more of time.
