A precision aerospace manufacturer is seeking a **Quality / Manufacturing Engineer** to support new product introduction, manufacturing planning, and continuous process improvement. This position plays a key role in translating engineering requirements into clear manufacturing plans that ensure parts are produced efficiently and meet strict aerospace quality standards. This role works closely with engineering, machining, inspection, and supply chain teams to ensure successful production from planning through first article approval. **Key Responsibilities** **Manufacturing Planning & Process Development** + Develop **manufacturing routings, process plans, and bills of material** for precision aerospace components. + Create and maintain product structures and production workflows within the ERP system. + Define machining, inspection, and workholding strategies to support efficient production. + Ensure manufacturing documentation aligns with **engineering drawings, customer requirements, and aerospace quality standards** . **Product Launch & First Article Support** + Support new product introduction and readiness for **First Article Inspection (AS9102)** . + Provide technical guidance to machining, programming, and quality teams during product launch. + Assist in the preparation and review of First Article documentation and supporting records. + Work closely with production teams to address manufacturability and technical issues. **Continuous Improvement** + Identify opportunities to improve **process capability, throughput, and quality performance** . + Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities. + Conduct time studies, workflow evaluations, and other process improvement initiatives. + Support implementation of statistical process control and Lean manufacturing practices when applicable. **Cross-Functional Collaboration** + Work closely with **engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams** to ensure product requirements are clearly defined and executed. + Participate in technical reviews, audits, contract reviews, and production meetings. + Assist in developing work instructions and process documentation. + Provide engineering support for production troubleshooting and disposition of nonconforming material. **Qualifications** + Associate or Bachelor's degree in **Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field** preferred. + Experience in **aerospace manufacturing, CNC machining environments, or quality/process engineering** . + Familiarity with **AS9100 quality systems and aerospace documentation requirements** . + Ability to read and interpret **engineering drawings and GD&T** . + Experience with **ERP systems** (Epicor or similar systems preferred). + Knowledge of **Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies** is a plus. + Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. **Pay Details:** $30.00 to $35.00 per hour Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to apply To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: + The California Fair Chance Act + Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance + Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers + San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance **Massachusetts Candidates Only:** It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
