About the role:We are looking for a driven Technical Intern to join our Manufacturing Operations ATE Test Engineering team, focusing on advanced test pattern automation and emulation. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and validation of test content for high-performance Ampere processors before physical silicon is available.The Ampere Internship program focuses on you to build your networks, support your efforts in making an impact, and giving you exposure to what Ampere does and how Ampere operates across the company. We want you to leave with the feeling that what you've worked on made a difference, a new level of confidence of what you're capable of, technical expertise, and a new network of contacts.Internship period is full-time for summer 2026 (May/June - August/September)What you'll achieve:Engage in the development and optimization of automated test content generation flows for high-performance processors.Design and implement scripts/tools for parallel automatic pattern translation and compilation, leveraging scheduling systems like cron for efficient workload management.Contribute to the emulation efforts for advanced test platforms, including Exascale and SMT8 environments, to validate test methodologies and content pre-silicon.Work alongside ATE development engineers to enhance the efficiency, coverage, and robustness of test pattern generation.Develop skills in large-scale data processing, automation architecture, and distributed computing as applied to ATE.About you:Strong programming skills in Python and/or C/C++.Proficiency in shell scripting and comfortable working extensively in a Linux command-line environment.Basic understanding of parallel processing, compilation processes, and system emulation concepts.Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., cron) or continuous integration pipelines is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an automation mindset.Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work collaboratively within a fast-paced team.Proactive in learning new technologies and eager to tackle complex challenges.Education:Currently pursuing a master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or related field. Bachelor's degree will also be considered. The pay range for this role at the MS level is between $48 and $54 per hour, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $55 and $60 per hour.
