This person is responsible for overall profitability, people development, standards/operations and customer experience in their store. Most importantly, this person will be a leader and coach; a champion of our culture and values. The Store Manager reports directly to the Market Leader.Some of the functions the Store Manager will perform:Embodies our values: Adventure Guides, Serve Others and Own ItOwns store P&L, driving income goals through managing sales and expensesLeads the team by providing leadership, direction and continued developmentHires, trains and retains the highest quality team members who exhibit our valuesEnsures the highest level of merchandise experience through execution of the company blueprint and brand standards to keep a clean, well merchandised storeEnsures all lineup changes and sell thru strategies are executedEnsures the delivery of maniacal customer service through setting clear expectations and enforcing accountability in the storeEnsures the use of world class processes in the storeDrives high performance culture, focused on the results of a highly functioning teamDevelops others through hands on coachingEnsures a deep talent bench by developing internal talent and attracting external talentWorks with the Sales Manager to ensure sales training and materials are utilized to keep the team educated on product knowledge, selling skills and operational efficienciesTrains the team and maintains standards in the areas of: cycle counts, accounting and merchandising proceduresWorks with the Assistant Manager to ensure operational excellence through a best in class home delivery processLeads change efforts within the store, conforming to shifting demands and timelinesMeets store visit expectations set by the Market LeaderRequirementsThe ideal candidate will have among other skills and abilities:Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience3+ years of retail leadership experienceAbility to read and interpret documentsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers and team membersAbility to effectively prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced sales environmentProven experience in strategic and organizational development, including the ability to attract, develop and retain best in class talentProficient using business related technology systemsTrack record of servant leadership; serving others and putting team goals firstOwners mindset; takes ownership over everything within scope of responsibility while empowering others to do the sameEmbody an Adventure guide; passion for the business, bringing curiosity and innovation to the jobProactive approach; identifies and solves problemsAdaptability; flexible to changing market forces and shifting prioritiesExperience managing change in large and complex environmentsAbility to break down complex ideas and communicate them in simple and easy to understand waysDemonstrated ability to coach and develop others to higher levels of performanceDemonstrated ability to drive results in a leadership roleDesire to continuously improveIf you are selected for an interview, a formal job description is available.
