A well-respected San Francisco law firm is hiring experienced Legal Assistants to support high-stakes plaintiff-side class action and antitrust matters by owning document production, advanced formatting, and federal filings. You'll be embedded in active cases, partnering with attorneys and paralegals to keep fast-moving litigation on track and courtroom-ready. They are looking for detail-obsessed legal professionals who thrive under deadlines, take pride in precision, and want to grow inside a top-tier litigation firm. Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 / Year DOE Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Prepare, format, edit, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence Apply advanced Microsoft Word formatting Create document shells and ensure filings meet court and firm standards Proofread for grammar, accuracy, citation consistency, and formatting compliance Handle e-filings, primarily in federal court Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to meet tight deadlines across multiple cases Maintain and organize electronic and paper files in NetDocuments and related systems Prepare binders and manage in-office printing and document production Provide administrative and case support with a strong focus on litigation workflows Legal Assistant Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Legal Word Processor On-site Availability Experience supporting complex class action litigation Advanced Word processing and heavy formatting expertise Federal e-filing experience preferred Experience with document management systems Strong grammar, proofreading, editing, and transcription skills Ability to work extended hours when litigation deadlines require it Plaintiff-side litigation experience preferred Bachelor's degree preferred Experience working in fast-paced, large, or complex litigation practices preferred Benefits: Discretionary year-end bonus typically Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match 15 days of vacation, 7 days paid sick leave, and generous paid holidays Clear growth path: Legal Assistant → Paralegal → Senior Paralegal → Case Manager Strong partner support, team-oriented culture, and meaningful work This role is ideal for a seasoned legal assistant who thrives in complex litigation, doesn't flinch at deadlines, and wants to do meticulous work that directly supports landmark cases and trial teams.
