Kept Companies is hiring a District Equipment Mechanic to support multiple locations across South Carolina. You'll be trusted to keep critical equipment running, reduce downtime, and support operations across the region - with the tools, vehicle, and autonomy to do the job well.This is a true mechanic role, not general labor. We support industries including transportation, retail, restaurants, and supermarkets through fleet washing, equipment refurbishment, refrigeration, hood and coil cleaning, and parking lot services.What You'll Be DoingDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair pressure washers, pumps, small engines, and mechanical systemsPerform standard preventative maintenance (PMs) and corrective repairsTravel between Kept Companies locations throughout South CarolinaIdentify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutionsComplete safety inspections and ensure equipment meets operating standardsDocument repairs, PMs, and service work accuratelyCoordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtimeMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all safety and compliance proceduresCompany-provided take-home vehicle and company card for fuel, parts, and job-related expensesWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GEDValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordMust be 21 years of age or olderProven experience as a fleet mechanic, equipment mechanic, small engine mechanic, or similarStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose engines, pumps, and pressure systemsExperience with gas and/or diesel-powered equipment preferredAbility to work independently and manage a regional workloadAbility to lift 50-70 lbs and work outdoors as neededMust pass a background check and DMV record checkPreferred (Not Required):ASE certification or formal mechanical trainingExperience with pressure washing systems or commercial maintenance equipmentBenefits (After 90 Days)Medical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceLong-term growth opportunities with a national companyWhy Mechanics Choose Kept CompaniesYou're treated like a skilled professional, not general laborAutonomy and trust in your mechanical judgmentRegional responsibility without constant micromanagementStable, full-time work with a growing national organization#KEPTHP
