Job ClassificationJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: Houston, TX OfficeFLSA Status: ExemptReports To: Director of Training Job SummaryThe Trainer supports all phases of Tadano's training operations, including the development, delivery, and marketing of technical training programs. This role is responsible for creating and delivering engaging instructional content focused on crane operation, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting. The Trainer works closely with the Training Director and other team members to ensure course materials are accurate, effective, and aligned with company standards.Key Responsibilities• Conduct technical and operator training sessions in both classroom and hands-on environments.• Assist in the development of training curricula related to maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic systems specific to Tadano crane equipment.• Create and update training materials including manuals, job aids, handouts, procedures, assessments, and digital content using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.• Maintain and update training aids and simulation equipment as needed.• Program and test on-board crane computer systems during instructional setup.• Continuously seek improvements to training processes and resources, with an emphasis on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.• Maintain high standards of ethics and professionalism in all interactions.• Communicate effectively with internal teams, management, and external partners.• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.• Ensure that training facilities and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition.Note: This job description outlines the essential functions of the position but is not all-inclusive. Additional administrative tasks reasonably related to the position may be assigned.Qualifications• High school diploma or GED required; mechanical trade school certification preferred.• Minimum 7 years of experience in customer service and mechanical or technical roles.• Minimum 5 years of direct experience working with Tadano products.• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM standards preferred.Core Competencies• Technical Communication/Delivery: Effectively communicates complex technical information clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences.• Organizational Excellence & Attention to Detail: Maintains a high level of organization and precision, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency in all work products.• Time Management: Effectively manages time and workload to meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Analytical Thinking: Applies critical thinking and analytical skills to assess information, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.• Confidentiality & Professional Integrity: Exercises discretion, integrity, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information and making business decisions.Pay RangeEstimated Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 annually (DOE)Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) RequirementsThis position is primarily based in an office environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer workstation using standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and copiers. The role involves frequent use of hands and arms for handling, reaching, and operating equipment, along with extended periods of computer and telephone use. Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting or moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required. Work may also take place in a variety of settings, including indoor classroom environments, outdoor training locations, and, on occasion, industrial or manufacturing sites during field visits. Limited travel by car or air may be necessary.
