Be Part of Who We Are!Position Summary The Vice President (VP) of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of a portfolio of 15 Ambulatory Surgery Centers and numerous clinics. This individual will drive overall operational performance, patient satisfaction and physician satisfaction while ensuring the portfolio meets aggressive growth targets.The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the ambulatory surgery center environment and a proven track record of optimizing multi-site surgical and clinical operations. This role will directly oversee ASC and Clinic leaders and will also provide matrixed leadership to other ASC leaders. The role will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:OverallActively collaborate with physician leadership, central office (CSO), ASC, and Care Center leadership to lead and execute complex initiatives designed to optimize financial and operational performance and align with Proliance mission, vision and valuesIn partnership with the COO, develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan for the organization portfolio to maximize market share and profitabilityDevelop and direct short and long - term plans that translate strategic goals into specific, actionable steps to improve the ASCs, Care Centers, and related ancillary service linesIdentify opportunities for ASC, Care Center, and ancillary service line growth and expansion Build strong relationships and partner with physician owners of ASCs, Care Centers, and related ancillary service lines to ensure alignment of expectations and optimum resultsPlay a central role in inspiring high-performing operations through recruitment, supervision and matrixed support to ASC Directors, Care Center leadershipMonitor quality, service, finance, and growth performance of individual ASCs, Care Centers, and related ancillary service linesto meet/exceed goalsMonitor business processes and outcomes, recommending corrective actions to ensure effective implementationWork with the COO to define, monitor, and improve performance for key performance indicators (KPIs)Align administrative operational workflows across locations to ensure consistency in patient care and administrative efficiencyLead / support business development for ASCs, Care Centers, and other ancillary service lines including organic and/or de novo growth, growth of existing Proliance Care Centers, and acquisition of external centersBuild relationships & partnerships at the state and local levels related to ASC regulationsDevelop leadership pathways for future ASC leadersCoordinate and develop capital equipment projects through strategic budgeting for all ASC locations (leveraging our scale across Proliance)Clinical Quality & ComplianceIn cooperation with Director of ASC Quality and Operations:Maintain a continuous understanding of all accreditation standards, Medicare Conditions for Coverage (CfC) and Washington State Department of Health regulationsEnsure all centers maintain 100% compliance with state licensing, federal regulations, and accreditation standardsEnsure the development and maintenance of the database of documents, demonstrating conformity to accreditation standards and measuresFoster a culture of "Safety First" by overseeing clinical benchmarking and protocolsFacilitate ASC Director discussions of policies and procedures, accreditation standards and overall compliance strategies and monitoring to ensure conformity to all accreditation standards and measuresFinancial StewardshipPartner with the COO and physician leadership in developing annual operating and capital budgetsHold P&L responsibility for targeted sites, ensuring annual budgets are met or exceededPartner with operations leaders to analyze monthly financial statements to identify trends, variances and implement action plans to improve performanceOptimize revenue cycle by streamlining front-end processes and partnering with central revenue cycle team to address broader opportunitiesIdentify and develop new programs and sources of revenueEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business or related field. MBA or MHA preferred.10+ years of experience in ASC management Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesChampions development and inspires othersDemonstrates internal and external influence and builds partnerships.
