Laundry Attendant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and deliveringMaintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry areaMaintain stock levelsRespond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient mannerPerform additional laundry services, as neededSPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: Ability to arrive to work on time and when scheduledAbility to stand on feet up to 7 hours a day and work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to operate washer and dryer equipment.Physically able to move / lift, large, heavy objects such as: linen, linen carts and/or bags of linenPhysically able to operate cleaning equipment such as: brooms, spray bottlesAbility to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form, over the phone or in person.Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to the laundry areaAbility to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations.WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High School graduate or equivalent preferred but not necessary6 months to 1 year cleaning experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.No special licenses or certificates required.
