NPower seeks a committed and passionate Recruiting and Admissions Manager to work with the Detroit, Michigan team. They will be responsible for recruiting young adults and military-connected individuals into NPower's technology training programs and manage the full admissions lifecycle. Working closely with students, alumni, staff, and community partners, the Recruitment and Admissions Manager will build sustainable recruitment pipelines, drive enrollment outcomes, and provide consistent student engagement to support individual and organizational success.RESPONSIBILITIESRecruitment & AdmissionsDevelop and maintain strategic relationships with young adults, veterans, workforce development agencies, and community-based organizations to generate qualified candidate pipelines.In partnership with the Site Director, create and execute a data-driven recruitment action plan aligned to local training offerings and enrollment targets.Manage inbound inquiries and recruiting leads; ensure timely follow-up across calls, email, and digital platforms.Guide applicants through the admissions process from initial inquiry to enrollment, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and a positive candidate experience.Present NPower programs to referral partners and community stakeholders; collaborate with alumni to drive referrals.Represent NPower at job fairs, conferences, workforce convenings, and sourcing events.Plan and facilitate information sessions and open houses.Leverage social media and digital outreach strategies to generate prospective student leads.Program AdministrationEnsure timely and accurate entry and maintenance of student records in Salesforce; manage required documentation, including income verification, education status, and program surveys; generate reports for leadership as needed.Support overall site operations, including assisting the Site Director with office, classroom, and staff coordination, as well as managing office inventory.Contribute to student-staff evaluation processes when required.Oversee student disciplinary processes and documentation-including warnings, performance agreements, suspensions, and dismissals-in coordination with the Site Director.Support student enrollment, retention strategies, and intervention efforts.Participate in regional and site-based events (e.g., orientations, graduations, site visits, mock interviews).Provide cross-functional support to Employment Services and Student Services as needed.Position Qualifications - Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree preferred with 2-3 years of experience in workforce development, student recruitment/admissions, or training and development;-or-Associate degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the same fields.Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.General RequirementsExperience supporting young adults and/or military veterans in workforce development programs preferred.Valid driver's license required; ability to travel throughout Detroit and surrounding communities (approximately 25%).Knowledge of the local and state workforce ecosystem, including key industries, community-based organizations, educational institutions, employers, and workforce development networks.Skills & QualificationsDemonstrated passion for helping individuals grow professionally and improve their lives and communities.Ability to serve as a credible professional role model who motivates students to engage fully in their professional development and career advancement.Strong judgment and counseling skills to guide students toward technical training pathways aligned with their career goals.Business development and networking acumen, with strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and listening skills; high attention to detail and follow-through.Highly organized, goal-oriented, and results-driven, with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and achieve program outcomes in a collaborative environment.
