Salary: $20.25 - $24.46 HourlyLocation : Aquatic and Recreation Center - Plainfield, INJob Type: FULL-TIMEJob Number: 00291Department: Parks and RecreationDivision: RecreationOpening Date: 02/19/2026Closing Date: 4/6/2026 11:59 PM Eastern GENERAL PURPOSEThe Facility Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day shift operations of the Recreation & Aquatics Center (RAC) building and programs admissions/concessions staff during the Splash Island Summer Season. Middle Shift pay range: $20.25/hr-$24.46/hrMiddle Shift will generally work a schedule of Monday thru Friday, 1:30pm - 10:30pm, participate in an on-call rotation schedule and seasonal shifts as needed. Shift premium is available for this position working this shift. The starting pay includes middle shift premium. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties include, but are not limited to:Provides excellent customer service by answering questions and responding to patron and staff needs in a timely manner.Assists with the coordination and management of all guest activities in the facility to include special events, group fitness classes, recreation and aquatic programs, and daily guests.Coordinates with division managers with regards to facility reservations and the coordination of the set-up and clean-up of conference rooms to include the guest's use of audio-visual equipment.Assist the front desk operations to include cash handling responsibilities related to opening and/or closing of the RAC.Regularly performs recreation services roles during shift including collecting monies for various fees brought in and assisting with the preparation and reconciliation of daily deposits.Approves daily paperwork, looking for mistakes due to inadequate verification of the guest's residence and makes the appropriate corrections.Oversee the Playworld (supervised play) operations and staff that is hosted at the facility. Assists with programming administrative tasks as needed.Assists in Creates creating attendance reports, monitors equipment condition, tracks maintenance repair needs, and orders new equipment and replacement parts, as needed.Facilitates the safe handling of cleaning/sanitizing chemicals used at the RAC.Conducts monthly random audits of new and renewal membership enrollees against the sex offender registry.Research the eligibility of guests regarding their eligibility for certain insurance programs that reduce membership costs and provide information to help low-income families with the Town's beneficent fund.Ensure that all aspects of the RAC facilities to include rooms, pools and equipment, are clean and in safe working conditions.Performs Recreation Services Employee roles including working the front desk, Playworld, fitness, party/program, and building services roles.Oversees Splash Island operations to include admissions and concessions operations.Liaison with scheduling buyouts for outside companies to utilize Splash Island Oversee the hiring and scheduling of Playworld, Building Service, and Fitness Center employees. Oversees reservations and birthday parties hosted at the facility. Assisting with RAC marketing by coordinating and communicating needs with the Marketing and Communications Department.Attends meetings, as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises the part-time RAC employees. Employees carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
