OverviewStand-Up Forklift OperatorTerre Haute, IN, USA$20.00/HourlyShifts: 2nd and 3rdFull job descriptionThe 2nd and 3rd Shift Stand-Up Forklift Drivers are responsible for effectively and safely moving material as necessary, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with staging, finishing, and semi-finished goods as required. MUST have at least one year of prior warehouse experience with expertise in stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and walk-behinds. Safety is our number one priority.Skills and experienceEssential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Follows and supports all Company Safety policies and proceduresIs responsible for the flow of material coming from the Incubation area, both physically and logicallyFollows product-specific instructions on packaging requirements, including stacking patterns and information necessary on packaging and palletsTracks effectively any defects found during the sorting processCommunicate effectively if any issues arise in either the equipment, raw materials, or the product being producedFollow all company-required PPE and GMP'sRecognize, analyze, and report any product safety or product quality issues per the food safety programRecognize, analyze, and report any personnel safety issues per the safety programEnsure that you have the right tools and raw materials to effectively perform the production schedule as assignedMaintains established housekeeping standards for the responsible areaSkills and ExperienceQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience:1+ years' STAND-UP FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE REQUIREDHigh School Diploma or GEDGeneral warehouse experience requiredExperience using handheld scanners is a mustSwing reach and turret truck experience is a plus, but not requiredComputer and Technology Skills:The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications, SAP, and or other ERP systemsLanguage Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. German language speaking skills are another advantage.Mathematical Skills:Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
