Meadow Gold Dairy has an immediate job opening in Englewood, CO for fast paced and motivated Third Shift Cooler/Warehouse operators to perform any combination of picking, pulling, and building orders, palletizing products, loading, unloading, and staging materials for outgoing delivery, and working any station or line that is assigned. Additionally, warehouse operators are responsible for safely operating various material and handling equipment and machinery within a warehouse, cooler, freezer or dock environment.An integral part of the Denver Area, Meadow Gold is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a dairy marketing cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family farmers. It takes an incredible team to deliver the goodness of dairy and enrich our communities - come join us!Compensation:$25.82 Hourly (Increase to $28.69 within the first year)SCHEDULE:9:00pm-5:30am: Thursday - Monday Schedule subject to change based on business needsBENEFITS:Union pension planCompetitive paypaid sick leaveyearly increases Career growth opportunities - we promote from within!Comprehensive healthcare benefitsJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLoad and unload stacks and move items as assigned; sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product codeSort and store perishable goods in refrigerated areaMaintain organization, rotation of stock, and neatness of all coolers and warehouseFill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other items and distribute to production workersAccurately pull and prepare customer orders for shipping and for efficient loading onto trucks/trailersCheck all information for accurate shipment of customer orders; check bills of lading for accuracy before any product is shipped or received; check products for cleanliness and condition prior to loadingUse computer to accurately scan or enter/maintain inventories and recordsComplete daily pick sheets, cycle counts, and production take backsAssist with monthly inventory counts, year-end inventory counts, and cycle counts as requiredMonitor materials, product, and equipment at each step of the process and report irregularities or concerns to supervisorMay sort, bundle and fill containers or place in assembled unitsMay mark or put identifying labels on product loadsMay operate a forklift, including a standing forklift, to load and unload trucks and move inventory from one location to anotherKeep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilizationFollow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Other duties may be assigned as required*varies by company and governing CBAsREQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED preferredAble to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalEffective verbal and written communications skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checksMust be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shiftMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases highMust be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees FahrenheitMust be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidaysMay occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicalsDFA is an Equal Opportunity Employer
