**Description:** You will be the F/-35 Aircraft Mechanic, Level 2 for the Aircraft Maintenance Team which is responsible for ensuring F‑35 aircraft are flight‑ready through comprehensive maintenance, repair, launch and recovery support/. This position is located at Luke AFB, AZ/. What You Will Be Doing As the F‑35 Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for assisting the maintenance crew in keeping aircraft in top mechanical condition and safe for flight/. Your responsibilities will include: /- Assist with maintenance, repairs, launch and recovery activities in line with Joint Technical Data /(JTD/) directives/. Support field‑level modifications and Time Compliance Technical Data /(TCTD/) actions/. /- Maintain and update aircraft records, keeping the crew chief and associate maintenance manager informed of status/. /- Apply safety, tool control, FOD, HAZMAT, TMS, quality and security program requirements/. /- Perform additional duties as directed by the Aircraft Maintenance Manager and Aircraft Supervisor/. The selected candidate must possess an Interim clearance to start and have the ability to obtain a Final Secret clearance Physical requirements: This position may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations/. Position may also require extended work hours/. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms/. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist/. Confined Space Entry/. **Basic Qualifications:** /- An FAA aircraft and power plant mechanic license or completed Skill Bridge for transitioning Service members or the candidate must have 12 months of aeronautic maintenance experience/. **Desired Skills:** /- 1/-2 years aircraft maintenance experience/. /- Experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System /(ALIS/) or Integrated maintenance Information System /(IMIS/) experience/. /- Experience in Portable Maintenance Aid /(PMA/) activities such as aircraft forms documentation and supply chain management activities/. /- Experience in aircraft structure repairs and low observable system maintenance requirements/. /- Experience in fighter aircraft crew escape systems /(i/.e/. canopy and ejection seat/)/. /- Experience in fighter weapons loading /- A current US Passport **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration/. **Clearance Level:** Secret **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match/.
