Application Support Analyst

Job Description: Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex business problems considering system limitations and capacity. Prepares detail specifications for developers. Provides technical expertise in evaluating new software modifications that will enhance operating and development activities. Job duties include deployment support as applicable, devops support for shared applications, SRE support for observability platform, Kafka middleware support What will the interview process look like (phone screen, face to face, meet with team, how many rounds, etc)? Is there a test in the interview the candidate should be prepared for? Response: First round will be a technical phone screen with a technical operations engineer. Second round will be a zoom video interview with a panel of 3 or more people from *** Team which includes technical questions, problem solving techniques and/or writing small code/script as requested What are the working hours, time zone? Response: US Eastern Time Zone (9AM-5PM) Is this role remote/hybrid/onsite? Response: Hybrid (potential onsite requirement to report in Boston office for at least 2 days a week) What is the duration of this contract and is there a chance it will be extended? Response: Initially 6 to 12 months with a possible 6 month extension if approved What training will be provided for this contractor and what are first day expectations? Response: Candidate will be trained on the application and system inventory domain knowledge during the first 2 to 3 weeks. First Day expectations is to read and go through the documentation provided by the team What is the day to day of the person going to look like? Please be specific. Response: Responsibilities include DevOps work (support for tools like Jenkins/CI-CD, Perforce/Bitbucket, Artifactory, Sonarqube and more), Grafana/Observability migration between platforms, Middleware support for Kafka systems and deployment support for trading applications
