Regional Painter

This position is currently open for our West Chester/Dayton Carespring buildings.JOB SUMMARYAn excellent painter is knowledgeable in selecting the right material for their job. They have experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. They must be reliable and deft as well as possess great attention to detail in completing their dutiesThe goal is to deliver high-quality painting workThis job will be important since good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefitsOPPORTUNITYExamine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessaryMake on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. drywall, plaster, joint tape)Paint surfaces according to instructions with various toolsApply varnish and other finishesCare and use of supplies and maintenance of equipment used in performance of dutiesRegular inspection of property and equipment for compliance with safety regulationsKeeping adequate records of work performed on a daily basisCertain paint jobs, i.e. kitchen, nursing offices may require evening or night workOccasionally could be called in for emergencies or as needed by your Regional Maintenance CoordinatorPERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS Proven experience as a painterExcellent knowledge of painting materials and how to select and apply themSolid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniquesAptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, rollers, caulking guns etc.)Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.Conscientious with great attention to detailPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
