Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical Engineer I (PE)Location: Little Rock, AREmployment Type: Direct HireSchedule: Full-Time | 100% Onsite (Hybrid flexibility TBD)Openings: 5+ Position OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking Electrical Engineers (PE Level I) to join a growing engineering team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role is responsible for developing and executing electrical engineering designs and technical solutions across complex infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has experience in medium voltage power distribution, generator systems, and large-scale facility design, with exposure to healthcare, higher education, or central energy plant (CEP) environments. Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Design & Analysis Develop, analyze, and evaluate electrical systems and design solutions Design medium voltage protection systems and power distribution infrastructure Support design of paralleled generator systems (medium to low voltage) Apply engineering principles, codes, and standards to all projectsProject Execution Create and review technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications using Revit Participate in field visits and site evaluations as needed Ensure project deliverables meet quality, safety, and compliance standardsTechnical Leadership Serve as a technical resource within project teams Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutionsCompliance & Standards Ensure all designs align with National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable regulations Maintain documentation and support engineering studies and reportsRequired QualificationsEducation Bachelor's Degree in Engineering requiredExperience 4-6 years of electrical engineering and design experience Experience with healthcare, higher education, or Central Energy Plant (CEP) projects preferred Hands-on experience with medium voltage power distribution and generator systemsCertifications Professional Engineer (PE) License required Electrical PE preferred; Mechanical PE considered Technical Skills Proficiency in Revit required Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects Effective communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Adaptable in a fast-paced engineering environmentCompensation & BenefitsCompensation $115,000 - $130,000 annually (based on experience) Discretionary annual bonusAdditional Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match 120 hours PTO + 9 paid holidays Mileage reimbursement Monthly phone allowanceWork Environment Primarily onsite in Little Rock, AR 0-10% travel to local job sites and office locations Combination of office-based and occasional field work Ability to sit, stand, or move for extended periods May lift or move items up to 20 poundsWhy Work With Wheeler Staffing PartnersWheeler Staffing Partners connects top engineering professionals with impactful opportunities across infrastructure and design projects.
