BRIC is building Brooklyn's creative future.About the Stagehand BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival Role: BRIC seeks a Stagehand, BCBF who will assist in the setup and breakdown of festival grounds including festival tents, platform decking, and other tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor to prepare for opening day, in addition to end of season loadout. This role will also work some benefit shows, assigned by Production Supervisor to assist in loading in all equipment and loading out the band equipment. What You'll Do in the Role:The Stagehand will be responsible for the following in addition to any other project as assigned by their manager, the Production Supervisor, BCBF:Build all festival areas, including festival tentsAssist in installing perimeter fence Assist in unloading and loading all rental equipmentYou'll Bring these Skills and Strengths to the Role:Mission & Values Alignment: A passion for BRIC's support of the arts in Brooklyn and a deep commitment to building community, igniting learning and making change through the arts and creativity.Experience & Qualifications:3 years experience in theatrical production, or the equivalent.Proficiency in theatrical production standards.Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds using proper technique Willingness to work outdoors, early mornings, late nights, long days, and weekend shifts, and to work in inclement weather.Communication & Relationship Building: An emotionally intelligent, values- and results-driven leader who can inspire staff and collaborate across departments and at all levels of the organization, and provide feedback and coaching to support the achievement of goals. Highly skilled communicator and relationship builder, both individually and in large audiences or public communications.Commitment to Equity & Inclusion: Brings experience operationalizing equity within the Performing Arts and or Hospitality function. Other Things to Know:Compensation: The salary for this position is $18/hr. Meals provided on show days. Status and location: This is a seasonal role based at the Lena Horne Bandshell at Prospect Park. Performance and General schedule:May 5 - June 6 (Load In: Mon-Fri. 8 hrs/ day)June 7 - August 24 August 25 - September 4 (Load Out: 8 -10 consecutive 8 hrs/ day, exact dates TBD)Mission & Values: BRIC is committed to building Brooklyn's creative future.
