LifeSource is hiring a Benefits Partner to play a critical role in ensuring a high quality, seamless benefits experience for all team members across the organization. This role manages day-to-day benefits administration, supports team member inquiries, ensures accuracy of deductions and enrollments, oversees leave programs, manages benefit vendors, and helps maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Benefits Partner will also support benefits related reporting, audits, and system optimization efforts within UKG. Partners closely with Payroll and Finance on bi-weekly organizational benefits changes for payroll processing and providing subject matter expertise and thought partnership to other People & Culture Team Members.As a Benefits Partner, you'll advance our life-saving work by performing the following job duties:Benefits Administration Manage the administration of all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSA/HSA, retirement plans, wellness programs, and any other supplemental benefits. Provide an oversight into benefits invoice reconciliation process. Oversee new hire enrollment, life event processing, and annual open enrollment activities. Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefit changes in the HRIS/benefits systems. Maintain up to date plan documents, SOPs, and employee facing benefit communication materials. Manage enrollment and ongoing maintenance of leadership supplemental benefits including LifeSource-funded Life and 457 plans. Issue Resolution & Employee SupportServe as the primary point of contact for team member benefits questions and escalations, partnering with Payroll and Finance to ensure accuracy of benefits data.Troubleshoot and resolve complex benefits issues, partnering with vendors as needed.Provide clear, empathetic, confidential, and timely support to team members regarding coverage, eligibility, claims, leave, and enrollments.Respond to requests for reports containing Benefits data. Analyze and present data findings for strategic planning. Benefits System & Data Management Oversee day to day management of the benefits modules within UKG (or other HRIS platforms). Ensure accuracy of employee benefit records, plan rules, and system configurations. Collaborate with Payroll to audit and verify the correct benefit deductions for each pay period. Support ongoing HRIS optimization, testing, and process improvements. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of benefits data within the HRIS system, while optimizing system functionality to support reliable and accurate reporting.Leave Administration Provide an oversight into all leave programs, including FMLA, state-specific leave (such as Minnesota Paid Family & Medical Leave), short-term/long-term disability, and other organizational leave policies. Coordinate with team members, managers, People & Culture partners, and vendors to ensure smooth leave processes and accurate tracking. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audits and compliance.Vendor Engagement & Management Serve as the day-to-day contact for benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators. Monitor vendor performance and escalate issues when needed. Partner with vendors to resolve claims issues, eligibility discrepancies, and administrative concerns. Participate in annual renewals, plan design discussions, and vendor evaluations.Compliance & Audits Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and state specific leave laws. Prepare and support annual audits (e.g., 401(k), workers' compensation, benefits, annual finance audit, etc.). Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and record retention practices. Support filing of mandatory reports and notices (e.g., 1095-C, SPD updates, required notices, nondiscrimination testing). Communication & Education Support wellness initiatives and lead benefit-related educational sessions for team members, including new employee orientation and open enrollment. Partner with People & Culture Director and other stakeholders to ensure benefits materials are accessible, easy to understand, and aligned with organizational culture. Develop and deliver clear communications regarding benefit offerings, changes, processes, and timelines.QUALIFICATIONS Requires combination of education and experience equivalent to eight (8) years of human resources including minimum of three (3) years of benefits administration and compliance experience.Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements (ERISA, FMLA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA).Experience with HRIS/benefits systems (UKG preferred).Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong benefits SME (total rewards and HR operations is a plus) and communication skills, along with strategic planning abilities Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working in a 24/7, mission driven environment (OPO, healthcare, nonprofit). Leave administration experience across multiple states. Vendor management experience. HR or benefits certification (e.g., SHRM CP, PHR, CEBS).SCHEDULE/WORK CONDITIONS: Full-time exempt position. Primary schedule Monday-Friday business hours. This position is hybrid on-site in Minneapolis. It is not available as a remote role.Projected offer rate range: $80-98k/year, based on relevant experience.
