**Description:** Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control, Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services /(SOFGLSS/) contract, located in Lexington, KY, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and complete modifications on various military vehicle and aircraft platforms in support of the warfighter/. This program, critical to the success of US service men and women deployed throughout the world has a mission to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible systems and equipment anywhere in the world/. Your Responsibilities Will Include - Collaborating with lead engineers, project engineers, and systems and design teams to support existing platforms to ensure the customer fleets' continued operation/. - Reviewing customer requests, deconflicting technical data, determining and developing solutions to issues, submitting and processing necessary documentation/. - Development of component installation, assembly, and part designs and drawings for integration of equipment, including: mechanical systems, armor, radios, antennas, transmitters, power equipment, server systems and components, etc/. - Documenting and processing engineering releases and changes/. - Contributing to customer reviews/. - Forward thinking, flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail/-focused, team/-oriented, and capable of multi/-tasking/. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U/.S/. government contract that requires a company/-sponsored clearance to start/. **Basic Qualifications:** /*Experience with 3D parametric modeling in CATIA, SolidWorks or similar software/. /*Experience with creation, review, and approval of engineering change documentation /*Experience creating ANSI/ASME Y14/.100 compliant drawings /*Experience with Microsoft office suite /(Word, Excel, Powerpoint/) /*Strong communication and presentation skills **Desired Skills:** Experience working in an mechanical design or aerospace environment/.
