The Curriculum Team sets the standard for educational development, processes, and qualifications to prepare students for the next stage in their educational careers, whether that be for the next grade, college, or entering the work force. Must create an encouraging teaching environment for all students and plan to adjust as the needs of students shifts and develops. Possess a mindset of continuous growth and strive to exceed industry standards to create a legacy of exceptional well-rounded students both academically and spiritually.Forge Christian High School Teacher'sPurpose Statement:To efficiently and successfully meet educational needs of all students in a manner that promotes excellence and develops a Biblical worldview. Teachers will execute a level of implementation and growth, as needed, in the key instructional strategies which are integrated into the classroom observation tool. Teachers will act timely and professionally under the completion of various administrative and curricular tasks require by the Head of School and included in the summative review tool. Teachers shall encourage and foster the spiritual and educational wellbeing of all students.Forge Christian High School Teacher'sResponsibilities:Primary ResponsibilitiesLive out a daily, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating grace, truth, and spiritual maturity in all areas of life and workDiscern and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit throughout the school day, seeking His direction in instruction, relationships, and decision-makingIntegrate Scripture, biblical truths, and practical application into all subject areas, ensuring that the majority of instructional units include meaningful biblical illuminationDevelop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans for assigned courses, equipping students for academic and spiritual growthEngage in ongoing curriculum development in collaboration with school leadership and fellow educatorsFor each course taught, prepare and submit the following to the Head of School:Weekly lesson plans, classroom materials, and homework assignments posted in FACTS by the designated deadlineA course description, syllabus, and a current curriculum map aligned with Curriculum Trak standardsExpected Student Outcomes updated at the conclusion of each semester.Utilize research-based instructional strategies from resources such as Teach Like a Champion and The First Days of School to support multi-sensory learning, small group instruction, cooperative learning, and Socratic methodsLeverage technology thoughtfully as a supplemental tool to enhance instruction and student engagementEmploy both formative and summative assessments to monitor and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs and stylesInterpret and analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and interventionsApply appropriate intervention strategies for students in need, maintaining detailed anecdotal records and implementing targeted support methodsSubmit attendance and grades punctually, in alignment with campus policySubmit book and material orders for the following school year in collaboration with department headsDemonstrate professionalism, resourcefulness, and excellence in the areas of time management, problem solving, communication, team building, creativity, and decision-makingParticipate in the school's continuous improvement efforts, including the accreditation processAttend all required faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunitiesCommunicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents, and fellow staff members to build strong, Christ-centered relationshipsOther Responsibilities: Instruct students during routine drills and live situations: Fire, Intruder, etc.Take attendance each class period.Measurable Goals:Formal and drop in observations performed by administrative team or Head of SchoolReview of parent and/or student feedback surveys as applicableAnnual summative review conducted with Head of SchoolEducational needs of all students are met in a manner that promotes excellence and develops Biblical worldviewImplementation and growth strategies are integrated into the classroomEnter a minimum of 2.5 grades per week into the gradebook, with exceptions allowed for elective courses.Timely and professional completion of various administrative and curricular tasks required by Forge Head of School and included in the summative reviewPosition Requirements:Passionate relationship with Jesus ChristDemonstrates servant leadershipMaster's degree in Mathematics or a related field from an accredited college or university requiredCurrent ACSI certification or state teaching license required (or ability to obtain)1-3 years of mathematics teaching experienceDemonstrates competency in all academic areas assigned to teachExcellent relational skills with people of all agesAligned with and able to clearly support the school's mission, vision, and goalsProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google WorkspaceAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and academic informationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrates a proactive, service-oriented approach with a commitment to excellence in all aspects of the roleCommunicate and demonstrate an attitude that is Friendly, Fast, Fluid, and Flexible.Staff Requirements:Be present for all Staff Meetings pertinent to your role, unless sick or on vacation.
